History of JETZ

Picture of the 1966 Topeka tornado On June 8, 1966 a tornado ripped through Topeka, Kan. destroying everything in its path. In the months following the storm, apartment complexes sprung up to meet the needs of those who had lost their homes during the tornado. With the construction of these complexes arose a need for laundry services, and in 1966 following the tornado, JETZ Service Co. was started. After the complex shown here was rebuilt, the owners of JETZ installed their first machines. JETZ began to grow with the new growth of Topeka.

Today, JETZ is still growing. We have branch offices in ten major cities throughout the midwest and we conduct business in fifteen states. Our business has expanded to include not only coin-operated laundry, but we also offer leasing of domestic and commercial laundry equipment as well as the sale of Maytag™ equipment and parts.
